USB Cables and cars are a pain in the *****.
I only use Cable Matters or Anker cables, but even then don't last a year, I guess with all the vibration, twisting, etc.
I waited for Android Auto Wireless for ages due to this, then realised it was ***** and was just maxing out all connections
