Hi All so since I've updated to 6.1 whenever I get a text message the icon that shows is just a head in a sim card shape where it was always a speech bubble anyone know how to change this? Thanks

Hi all, just curious... can you let me know if you use a physical SIM, eSIM or combo of both? I have a suspicion it has something to do with the issue

Yeah I have both. Sim for my watch and esim for my phone.

I have the same problem on my S23+ after update 6.1. I do wipe cache, clean data and cache of messages app, run in safe mode, nothing solve problem. After clean data and cache of messages app I saw messages icon app for a 1 sec and then I see only sim card icon

I just received an update from the support. They advised that this is correct behaviour and the correct icon is displayed. I provided a screenshot to double check that we are talking about the same, and they reconfirmed that the icon is correct.

I responded with a screenshot of my wife's S24, where the icon is correctly displayed as speech bubble. Let see what they will come back with.

check with 1 sim card. When I have one sim notifications are ok but if I insert 2 sim the notifications are like in my ss

Exactly the same. On my wife's S24 it works fine with two sims too, so it is not default behaviour.

Is it possible to recovery "old" icon? What the support say?
