Side button actions without password

What side button actions are available without need for password to unlock the phone. 

I would want a quick note taking voice recorder app to start without need to unlock phone but with a quick double press action of side button for example.

Always on display can be used for this purpose. Without unlocking the phone you can double press the clock and have a number of items on screen to use, the voice recorder is one of the widgets you can have on screen.

So you can use voice recorder without unlocking the phone.

This can then be transcribed and pasted into a note or document.

Hi. Thanks. Yes AOD screen action allows that. But I was hoping for a similar solution through side lock. I found that torch/flash light works without password on sidelock action. What are similar actionable items available.for side lock and if some goodlock or other app can enable more functions without password.

I was not aware the torch works without authentication login... but I think most apps need you to login to the phone to use.

Personally I haven't used anything other than Google pay on the double click option... but of course that needs login.

Settings>Advanced features>side button. Tap cogwheel. Tap Notes icon, or voice recorder.
Note: You'll need 'Extend unlock' active if you want to bypass the screen lock.

Alternatively, download the Good Lock app from the Galaxy store and use the RegiStar module. Here, you can assign the voice recorder app to the side key and open it by just pressing the key and holding it down. This bypasses any lockscreen security.
