S23 Ultra Security Updates, OneUI6 & Lack Of Communication

It's become apparent to me that my S23 Ultra is the the most sophisticated and complicated mobile phone that Samsung has produced to date.

The problem is that both Samsung and its customer base is treating it the same way as all its other devices and that process is not working for a significant proportion of that customer base.

Some of the issues as I see them are :-

1. It is proving difficult to provide the Security Update early in the month. But often we see non security items added to such updates. Deal with them separely, security is far more important than functionality today.
2. I'm only really interested in the Critical Security fixes, get them out early and roll the rest out when ready.
3. Publish rollout dates for Beta releases. If the UK is not going to get OneUI6 beta before release 2, at least we will know.

Customer dissatisfaction should never be based around a lack of communication.

It's not their fault they are still working on code for a phone that literally just came out

Samsung have to allocate server time to send out updates. It can't work like clockwork as they are dependent on the security updates from Google which are not distributed at the start of the month. They then have to fit this in to their schedules and don't forget Samsung have many different models to roll out the updates whereas Google has the Pixel range.

As far as experimental firmware goes it is ready when it's ready when Samsung are happy to distributed and keep the user experience satisfactory. The first betas from Google have a multitude of issues which Samsung don't want their customers exposed to. Do a search for feedback on the first beta rolled out to the pixel and you will see what I mean.

From what I'm seeing in this Forum, customers want to know why they arent receiving the Security Updates until late in the month and don't understand why they cannot have acces to the OneUI6 Beta when it is available elsewhere. All they want are some definitive answers - communication!

The majority are not interested in the technical background, I don't care how Tesco gets my milk, just that it's there when I want it. Why should Samsung be any different?

From an ex ICT Manager of a large organisation before retirement, I am well aware of the needs and requirements of planning large-scale rollouts.

Well, they will just have to be patient otherwise there will be people complaining about bug riddled software.

Sorry @Pugs1957, people are not asking for bug riddled software, they just want to know what is going on.
1. Why is the flagship phone monthly updates being delivered late in the month?
2. What date will OneUI6 beta be available on the S23 Series in the UK?

Simple questions from a loyal customer base that Samsung seem unwilling or unable to answer.

Both are available on other platforms or elsewhere - communication.

1. Security Updates come from Google so that timing is down to them. OS Updates will come out when ready and this month server time is required for these and the beta rollout .
2. When it's ready.

If Samsung said it's coming out today but didn't due to a snag there would be more complaints.

Remember the people on those forum are not affiliated to Samsung. I'm just Joe public like you and are just as much in the dark. All information we have is from what's in the public domain, most of which has been wrong.
Sorry, but all I can say is hang on in there.
