Hello from Philippines

Bought my s23 ultra 256gb last march

Wqhd+, adaptive, light mode is on and protect battery is active when I am home.

I am curious as to why other users have 2 to 3 days of battery life while i only have a total of around 24 hours.

I average around 4 hours of SoT and 18 hours of Screen off time.

Hopefully someone can help me.

Oh and also, I got many apps on deep sleep and I rarely use mobile data for connecting to the internet.

Social media apps use lots of background data as videos are auto loaded in background .
(Maybe consider disabling this in Facebook app)

Also because of endless scrolling the screen is probably all the Time running at 120htz.

For experiment just binge on YouTube or Netflix. And you will get more SOT.

Also try to keep all setting on adaptive or auto and let the phone do its magic.

Another battery hogger is always ON location permissions .

Wqhd+ uses more battery than hd - do you need this on?

If you watch video without touching screen much, you'll get far longer battery life. It is the constant screen touching that uses most battery.

Also check which apps are using most battery. Can any be put to sleep if not used or even removed?

@Jpvergss what's your Network Connection like ?

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra 512Gb in Phantom Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Thanks for your answer! I just got off an 85% charge and did a 30minute test on just watching youtube. I just lost 3% for the 30minute video and your reply makes full sense to me now.

Can you please guide me to the adaptive or auto settings that you are talking about?

Thanks again!

I just noticed that my location is always on even when I am home, I remembered that I can set a routine that when I am home, location is off.

I use the wqhd+ because I want to get the screen that I paid for and also, I can notice the difference between the HD. I will try this and monitor my battery.

I would highly advice to watch some videos on how to set your phone on you tube if you want to go into detail.
Lots of videos for s21 ultra and the s23 Ultra.

Ideally under settings if there are options for like adaptive refresh rate or adaptive battery or adaptive powersaving then use those or turn them ON.
