Phone goes straight to voicemail

My new phone goes straight to voicemail and doesn't ring any solutions?

Have you checked with your network provider? As its not the phone that directs calls to vm but your network provider

@kattymart: I also recommend heading to Settings > Connections > Flight mode, and toggling this off if it's active. Furthermore, head to Settings > Notifications > Do not disturb > Off (if applicable). 

If the problem persists, open the Phone app > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Settings > Supplementary services > Call forwarding, and check to see if 'Always forward' is active, and if your voicemail number is populated here.

If my phone connects to the house WiFi all goes to voicemail but if connected to my own network the phone can receive calls.
Might be worthwhile seeing if it's the WiFi connecting to a rouge network via WiFi.
