Odd spooky Green dot message

I sometimes get odd Green dot messages in the upper right corner,it vanishes quickly but manage to read: 'afirstname' used by camera. It happens when I'm not using any app.

I have scanned apps ,checked permissions and have Macaffe,s23.I find the message odd and spooky,am I being hacked? 'Afirstname' happens to be my brothers name and he lives in another country.

Sounds like somebody has hacked your phone better to factory reset if that fails then reinstall the software using computer or laptop that should clear out all the unwanted hackers or hack but back up your data first

Sounds to me like your microphone icon?

No its the green camera icon appearing where Green Dot is,I click and the message 'firstname' used by camera appears so note the message is Not 'Camera used by 'firstname' '

Sounds like there is a rouge app or virus that's using the camera. Best to follow Ricky's steps

This is not a hack, I think as other mention that it sounds like the notification icon for audio camera access
