Media cuts out when screen off

For some reason when I use certain apps to play video/music on my s23 and then lock my phone, after 2-3 minutes the video/music stops. This for apps like YouTube (premium) and TuneIn radio. As soon as I unlock the phone it starts playing again. Samsung music and Spotify seems to work fine. Multiple apps are affected in the same way so it's not just an issue with YouTube. 

I've changed app battery settings for individual app to never stop running in the background but that didn't help. Also checked the apps were not on list of sleeping apps.

Anyone else experiencing this problem?

No problem, I think it is an issue with certain apps. During the day I use Waze sat nav, which stops the phone screen from locking when in focus and I have another app in background streaming radio. If I have the radio screen in focus the screen locks but it continues playing.

One issue I have is when I get in the car, the media starts playing by itself i.e whatever I was listening to last comes on and starts playing by itself? Quite a nuisance if phone is in my pocket not being used. I haven't worked out what's causing it yet 😊

I went ahead and create an account just to thank you. I could've never thought that duck duck go app tracking would be the issue.

Is very hard to be privacy oriented when things keep breaking. Anyway thanks for the help!

I just received one UI 6.1 update on S22 and the moment the screen goes off, volume goes down to the point that the music being played is barely audible. The moment I tap the screen, volume is restored to the original level. I don't have duck duck go installed and I have youtube premium that was working just fine until yesterday before I installed the update.

Same exact problem.  Noticed it a couple updates ago I think, it's been going on for several months
