@mach3363: Some other Community members have reported this issue in the thread below, and it appears to be a known bug with the Google Messages app. 

Google Messages display issue 'Can't reply to this short code' - Samsung Community

With this in mind, please keep an eye on the Google Play Store for any updates, or report the issue to Google support directly.
