If you're experiencing issues with Bluetooth audio not playing through your Samsung Galaxy S23 when connected to your vehicle, here are some potential solutions you can try:
  1. Check Bluetooth settings: Make sure that your Samsung Galaxy S23 is properly connected to your vehicle's Bluetooth system. Go to Settings > Connections > Bluetooth on your phone and check if your vehicle's Bluetooth system is listed as a paired device. If it is, ensure that the "Media audio" or "Audio" toggle is enabled.

  2. Check vehicle's Bluetooth settings: Double-check the Bluetooth settings on your vehicle's audio system. Make sure that it is configured to allow audio streaming or media audio from your phone. Consult your vehicle's user manual or contact your vehicle's manufacturer for specific instructions on how to enable media audio streaming.

  3. Update Bluetooth firmware: Bluetooth firmware updates are occasionally released to address compatibility issues. Check for any available firmware updates for your vehicle's Bluetooth system and ensure that it is up to date. Similarly, make sure that your Samsung Galaxy S23 is running the latest software update, including any Bluetooth-related updates.

  4. Forget and re-pair: Try forgetting the Bluetooth connection between your Samsung Galaxy S23 and your vehicle, and then re-pairing them. Go to the Bluetooth settings on your phone, find your vehicle's Bluetooth connection, and tap on "Forget" or "Unpair." Then, restart your phone and your vehicle's audio system, and re-establish the Bluetooth connection from scratch.

  5. Clear Bluetooth cache: Clearing the Bluetooth cache on your Samsung Galaxy S23 may help resolve any temporary issues. Go to Settings > Apps > Bluetooth, tap on "Storage," and then select "Clear Cache" and "Clear Data." Restart your phone and try reconnecting to your vehicle's Bluetooth system.

  6. Try a different audio source: If possible, try connecting your Samsung Galaxy S23 to a different Bluetooth audio source, such as a different vehicle or Bluetooth speaker, to see if the issue persists. This can help determine if the issue is specific to your vehicle or if it's related to your phone.

  7. Contact Samsung support: If you've tried the above steps and are still experiencing issues with Bluetooth audio not playing through your Samsung Galaxy S23, you may need to contact Samsung support for further assistance. They may be able to provide specific troubleshooting steps or escalate the issue to their technical team for further investigation.

Note: Bluetooth connectivity and compatibility can vary depending on the specific make and model of your vehicle, as well as the software version on your Samsung Galaxy S23. It's always a good idea to check for any known issues or updates from both Samsung and your vehicle manufacturer.

These things don't work. When I pair my Samsung Galaxy s23 ultra to my Caddy Maxi Life from 2014 it first works with audio, and when I restart my car it goes to calls only. When I flip media on in the settings it flips back to off.

I've removed the pairing and re-paired them, then it works again until I turn off and then turn on my car again.

I am having the same issue as the OP, with my s23+.   Suggestion #5 in your list doesn't work because Bluetooth does not show up in apps. Is there some other way to clear the cache?

I have same problem on my VW passat 2014. Only disabe/enable bluetooth on phone after first connect allows Audio. But you have to do this every time when you get in the car.

This is a problem with the 23/ultra.   The connection is made but no audio.  The phone Bluetooth in the car works, but no media audio.  I checked it on different devices and the same thing.   To get to the Bluetooth cache hit the lower lines in the menu, not the upper lines.  I couldn't clear the cache,  it showed data but no but it didn't show up.  Very frustrating... phone is a couple months old.

it's not the devices it's the phone.  The troubleshooting using the other devices should be the FIRST THING YOU DO TO CHECK IT, not the middle or last!  What's up with so many issues of the same thing?   ****** phones!
