Battery life not great

I purchased this phone on pre order, battery life started okish but I'm only getting 10 hours daily use. 

The phone gets hot randomly and if my battery hits 0 it does charge straight away.

Bought online direct from Samsung so now what?

Battery life is completely dependent on how you use the phone and what you use it for.
So your usage will be completely different to someone else's
It's possible if you used Smartswitch to setup the device, some corrupted data or cookies may have been migrated over.
I'd probably start with Wiping the Partition Cashe of the phone.
Also going into battery and device care to see what is using the battery most.
Prehaps change permissions in those particular Apps

How would I wipe cache? I think that will definitely help.

In the morning it drops to 80 85 percent by just checking emails bit of browsing. Standby time needs work too

To wipe the phone's System Partition Cache Files Section >

Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too. 

Also can you go into Battery and Device Care Section under Battery and screenshot that but also using the scroll capture option so you include all the apps being used and include the phone's top status bar please.

Having same issues. Phone is through my carrier - AT&T.
Only 4 days old. Just wiped cache and repaired apps, let's see what happens.
