Hello everyone,

I’ve noticed an issue with the fingerprint feature on my Samsung device after adding new fingerprints. Once I added the new fingerprints in the settings, the fingerprint login stopped working properly for apps and accounts.

To make the fingerprint function work again, I had to manually re-enter the passwords for all apps and services on my device. This means the fingerprint feature doesn’t work automatically until passwords are re-entered for each account.

This can be quite inconvenient for users with multiple apps and accounts, as it takes extra time and effort.

I’m wondering if this is standard behavior after adding new fingerprints or if there’s a way to avoid this. Has anyone else experienced this or found a solution to the problem?

This is a security feature that apps can use.

It may be inconvenient, but your banking app doesn't know if you added new fingerprints or if someone else did. Because of this, it will ask you for your password or other methods to confirm your identity before you can use biometric login again.

Yes, this is actually a standard behaviour to ensure the safety of your Apps. Think of the someone who adds his fingerprints to your phone while it is on. He or she could enter everything on your phone.
