Basic Phone functions missing in One UI?

Noticing something quite odd on the Galaxy S23 Phone app: there's no option to copy a received number, no direct way to block it, and no shortcut to save it to contacts from the call log.

Even stranger, if you go into Settings to block it manually, you can’t access your clipboard—so unless the number you copied was the very last thing, there's no way to paste it.

Honestly, for a flagship device in 2025, this feels a bit surreal. How is this still a thing?

Wer soll Dir dabei in Deutschland helfen können, hier wurde auf dem S23 noch kein OneUI 7 ausgerollt? Hat aber auch nichts mit OneUI 7 zu tun, das funktioniert unter OneUI 6.1 auch nicht. Das müsstest Du an die Entwickler bei Samsung adressieren.

First of all, an S23 is a 2023 flagship phone and not a 2025 flagship phone. Second of all, there is no OneUi7 on German S23 phones, so please take your complaints to the country your phone is manufactured for.

I can copy a number and paste it with the 2025 flagship, with German software.

Ich habe das gerade beim S23 probiert, ich finde unter dem Reiter letzte die Möglichkeiten leider auch nicht. Das ist aber wahrscheinlich auch die falsche Stelle für die gewünschte Funktion.

Thanks for the clarifications. You're right, my phone is still on One UI 6.1, not 7 – that was a mistake. The phone is a Galaxy S23 but the update is from 2025. I can confirm it was manufactured for the German market, despite its language being set to Italian. So, the issue remains. I still can’t copy, save, or block numbers directly from the call log screen...

Hey @JumeVerda, if you click the contact/number once, do you get the detailed options? Clicking it once (so not actually selecting it) should pop up the options such as ""Add to contacts+" (if it is not an existing contact), as well as the info-icon and such. Clicking the info icon (a small 'i') should open up the contact page which includes options such as blocking the number.
