Vibration doesn't play on notifications

Notifications don't vibrate even though I have it turned on. I found the setting to make apps vibrate when they send a notification. It is in app settings, notifications, categories and in there I can choose one categorie to turn vibrate on. This means I have maybe even 100 apps that each have 5 or more categories that I have to individually turn vibrate on for... btw when I turn my phone on vibrate mode the vibration pattern that I installed does play but it wouldn't play the sound. There must be a more logical way to get notifications with both sound and vibration? Help please

No and that would block all notifications but I am getting the sound

Thank you for your message. I will gladly also help you! Have you also tried clearing the cache via the Recovery menu? If not, turn off your device and connect it to your computer. Then hold down the Volume Up and Power buttons until you see the Android logo. After a few seconds, the Recovery menu will launch. Select "Wipe cache partition" and then "Reboot system now."
