Hi,
I've got a S23 Galaxy, Android 15, One UI 7.0.
For some reason I'm unable to change the system language to Dutch.
There are no updates pending, restarted the phone several times, switched back to English, deleted Dutch and re-installed Dutch but whatever I try, it remains English.
Could you please recommend anything I could do to switch the phone to Dutch?

We then recommend that you visit one of our Service Centers Eddepetje,

My collegue there can inspect your S23 Gaalxy and decide if a flash can maybe help. See the link below to find a location and to make an appointment. Feel free to let us know if it worked.

Have you pressed set as default. Probably yes that means maybe try a reset or cache wipe1753963736151.jpg

Thank you,

Yes it's default as it is the only available language. English has been deleted.

As well as the keyboard language and the text-to-speech language pack, only the the Dutch one is installed, others have been deleted.

Already done the reset earlier and just done the cache wipe, but unfortunately without any change.

Just to make it clear, it is just the language in the settings menu that doesn't want to switch to Dutch, within all the different apps the language is set to Dutch.

Hallo @Eddepetje.

Thank you for contacting us about this. I will gladly help you further. Have you also tried deleting the cache of the whole device? If this isn't the case, turn off your device and connect it to your computer. Then hold down the Volume Up and Power buttons until you see the Android logo. After a few seconds, the Recovery menu will launch. Select "Wipe cache partition" and then "Reboot system now."

Feel free to let us know if this helped.

Thank you @Ajay-A ,

I've wiped the cache partition, but unfortunately without the desired result.

I've also replaced all Dutch by German, thinking the Dutch files might be corrupted somehow, but it still shows in English. (this is after re-starts and another cache partition wipe)

Currently all settings are set back to Dutch, but everything is still showing in English.

Like some setting somewhere does not allow anything else but English.

Thank you for your reaction Eddepetje,

We then recommend a factory reset after making a back-up. See the link below for the instructions. You can let us know if this worked.

Thank you @Ajay-A ,

However a factory reset didn't do the trick unfortunately.
