So I traded in my S21 because my volume up and down button stopped working. Now on my S22 Ultra, same thing.  It has been in an otter box since purchase.  Why does this keep happening?  Anyone else?  Worst prblem is now I have an OS warning and I can't get out of it because I can't use my volume up and down keys!  This is almost enough to make me move to Iphone

If the same issue is happening on the new phone that happened on the old one
It's likely either the case is a problem
Or if not, you have something installed that's causing issues
Try starting the phone in safe mode and see if the problem is still there
If not then you will be looking at an app or themes that are causing problems
I've not heard of anyone else with this issue personally
Try clearing the Partition Cache on the phone as well and see if this helps

How long have you owned the Samsung Galaxy s²² Ultra @Ang08  ? > check on any relevant cooling off period to have the phone swapped out.

Reach out to a Samsung Service Centre as they can certainly look at the phone.

I wouldn't think the OtterBox Case would cause the issue. It's a very popular case so if this was causing the issue I'd expect to see more chatter on the forums highlighting the potential issue.

I wish you all the best. Take care.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Saying above, I only have less than 10 apps from outside 3rd parties and all others are Samsung native things
I am one of those boring phone users, I use my Galaxy watch 5 pro more than the phone

@Ang08: Please try removing the otterbox case, then head to the Samsung Members app > Press and hold on the app icon > Diagnostics > Buttons, and follow the on screen prompts. Does this test return an 'Action required' message for the Volume Up and Volume Down keys, or does it say 'Normal'?
