Disappointed to receive a claim from Samsung partner MTR to cover cost of repairing screen burn on my trade in S20. I don't know how much of an issue screen burn is or what a realistic repair cost is but feel I have no choice to pay as I want to keep my new S22+ and don't want the S20 back. This extra cost experience will definitely influence my loyalty to Samsung brand.

Unfortunately if they assess the phone and find such issues then an excess fee can be applied which can be a shock if one feels the phone was in good condition when sent off @Members_mWI0ELx

Screen burn can be a real issue.

This is why I elect to sell my previous phone's privately or go into a Samsung Experience Store where they'll assess the phone on your presence.

Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²³ Ultra 512Gb in Phantom Black.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I got my phone tested before i sent it to MTR, but as Samsung was giving a better price, traded in with them. Screen burn unfortunately, is a common factor in oled screens, both on phones & tvs and should probably come with a warning.

Sent my S20+ perfectly fine no scratches or anything, awesome screen and just great really. Just wanted the new cam on S23 U really. Now got an email charging me £75 with a picture that shows nothing wrong with claiming "screen burn". Options or appeal virtually none. Samsung scam to get more money, absolutely shocking. Would get it back but how can I be sure they didn't swap it or messed it up themselves? Or they will claim something else from returning the new phone?
