Camera quality keeps getting worse and now barely usable since May update on S22 ultra (all lenses). blurry and out of focus pictures .Video quality still okay but not as good before update. How can an update make a bad phone worse!!! Let see how much of a mess June update brings🤣

Do you have any examples to show us?
My photos are great and don't have any issues with blurring.
Is it the whole image blurry or parts of it?
What have you tried to remedy the issue your having?
Have you gone into the camera settings, gone into about camera.
Tapped on the information icon on the top right.
Scroll down to storage and clear cashe.

Sometimes after an update, it's worth clearing the Partition Cache on the phone.
It's probably worth doing that anyway.

Double check the settings you have on your camera app.
Obviously use a lens cleaner to clean the camera lenses.

Ultimately you may need to get the phone looked at.
But try the simple things outlined above first.

Have done the usual clearing of cache and data. Even reset the whole phone. Here's a compare left with the march update that came with the phone and right since April update with same lightning condition sunny and bright day. Also software artifacts on my daughter hand. Took also some flowers pictures which came out nice. First 2 from note 10+ and second 2 S22 ultra normal lense with focus enhancer turned off and the next 2 with it turned on. The pictures taken with the software that came with the phone were just so clear and sharp and since all the updates just keeps getting worse with very soft and kinda blurry image.20220521_190106_30026_1653156668.jpg20220521_190044_30025_1653156667.jpg20220521_201309_30032_1653160389.jpg20220521_200056_30028_1653159656.jpg

Well the images are not as bad as I thought they'd be.
But the focus is a bit off there.
Is the scene optimiser on. If not try turning it on, or if you have it on, turn it off and see.
Only thing I can recommend is getting it looked at. If you have a Samsung Experience Store near you, it would be an idea to see if they can do something like reflash the camera software

Wholeheartedly agree with @Playmak3r June update has made things even worse.

Samsung needs to be honest and face facts. Huawei, Pixel and iPhones all have superior camera ai that prioritises faster shutter speed and frame sampling to produce better focused people and pets in shots. From the S20 series to now this has been an issue but more specifically to the 108mp sensor phones.  Others have spoken about this already at length and the sensor not being able to lock PDAF even with a laser autofocus module (it is included to help with 108mp shortcomings) means that Samsung needs to bring back Sports Mode as a dedicated option to deal with this.

It is the reason I will be moving to a Note 10+ which after testing performs worlds apart in focus department and shutter speed priority

One of the main things you can do is to use the exposure slider to up the shutter speed. Move it left and although the image darkens it can compensate. But as you can see in this image of my daughter pushing some swings the camera failed miserably.

Shutter speed is 1/180th of a second which is much more capable of grabbing movement but even though scene optimiser and ai picked up her face the laser autofocus also failed here. Light was adequate as well.

You can also see the focus overshot and locked onto the fence behind her

Have adjusted all the options available to just with marginal improvements but defeats the purpose of point and shoot on a smart phone. Fundamentally the camera software and Ai is just broken. Samsung need to pull there fingers out and get this sorted. Wouldn't surprise me if there new 200MP sensors is just as flawed due to mediocre software.

Definitely. SamMobile said it best below.

Having owned the Mi 11 Ultra before the s22 ultra it's actually quite pathetic they didn't just put the GN2 into the S22U. It would have been hands down the best camera phone on the market
