SMS messages aren't arriving and being sent

I have chat turned on in Samsung messages and when internet isn't available the messages should still be sent and I should recieve them - I turned internet and just now recieved a basic SMS!

Hi, 

The chat feature allows communication over internet and skips the SMS route. In the event that internet is not available, it should still be possible to send and receive simple text msgs.

Check if the following makes any difference:

In the Chat settings, you could set 'Default message type' to Automatic and 'If the chat isn't delivered' to Resend as text or multimedia message.

Hi @Adi0   Try @Neo001's advice.    Should there be continuing issues turn the chat settings off, restart and activate chat again.   possibly in the case you may need to reset the Network Connections.  Go to General Management-Reset-Reset Network Connections.  Alternatively search Reset which will bring up Reset Network Settings.

That will reset my Samsung watch 4 connection 😭
