Hello @stvapuk
There are some existing threads on the forum in regards to this subject and what's being shown in Tech Site articles and in YouTube Creators videos.
I invite you to perform a forum search to perhaps read some of this if you haven't already. 😀
In reply to your question......
" is any one else going to send back their S22 Ultra in Europe if the Exynos chip is as bad as receent tests are making out against the Snapdragon chip? "
Samsung UK provide 21 days to be able to use the phone so I'll find my own conclusion whether I wish to keep the phone or send the phone back for a full refund.
While these all too regular articles etc are uploaded every time a phone is launched these tech site articles and YouTube 1st impressions and comparisons videos are interesting but I'm not drawn in to make a decision by them.
For me they do give some information and fill in the time while I await my new phone.
Some people are drawn in and can make them cancel their order before the phone has been delivered and some do suffer from Buyers Remorse.
Exynos and SnapDragon variants .....
I'm in the UK and have used both Exynos and SnapDragon SoC variants of Samsung phone's whether the phone has been released in the UK with a SnapDragon SoC or I've imported a Samsung phone with a SnapDragon SoC in it.
I've found that the optimisation in some of the SnapDragon version has a little bit better optimisation which sometimes gave an extra 45 minutes or so more battery life.
All other optimisation was fine.
To add some balance I've come across articles suggesting the new SnapDragon SoC isn't performing too well itself.
Take what you will from that !

Although battery stats is a subjective topic this is encouraging.

I'm definitely returning the S22 ultra that I have ordered already if turns out that Exinos 2200 is much slower than Snapdragon 8 gen1. Samsung does not use their own SoC Exynos 2200 in their own country?!
had enough of Samsung treating Europe like a garbage can.
