I'd like to add my hat to this in hopes samsung expedites the issue, if enough folks let them know its a wide spread issue perhaps they will dedicate more resources to fixing the bug sooner. To confirm I am experiencing dreadful GPS dropout issues to the point navigation is unusable. I even had to resort to apple maps on my wife's iPhone as I could not get accurate location, I was not getting directions, it couldn't even gauge which direction I was moving in. Very disappointed especially at a flagship device at this price point is frankly unacceptable

What sort of details do you need? The device is the midrange S22 ultra, 512Gb, Europe spec Exynos chip. I have a spigen case but have tried without the case and no improvements. I have a Whitestone domeglass screen protector but I don't see this impacting GPS performance and I am not removing the glass, risking damage, and wasting one screen protector if the issue is hardware related.

Also to anyone interested in this issue I've raised an error report through the Samsung members app as advised by Mai of samsung support. If anyone else is experiencing this maybe do same so they can see exactly which models and builds have the issue

I don't think the screen protector or spigen case casuing issue. You have the April patch.

Can you describe more specific the dropout you mentioned? Others who lost the GPS and couldn't recover before phone reboot were fixed by April patch.

It looks like you are claiming other issue.

I have the same software version and GPS playing foul. I went to service center and they suggested to wait little more for software update. Other option is to replace motherboard for which I am not keen. They will not replace the phone. Hope next update will fix.

My experience is the same. Adding to that, I want to share some more experience. Using the device for navigation while walking, in most of the cases the device works fine, but it is much more sensitive to trees and building noise (when the sky is not directly clear and open to the GNSS). It tends to lose the signal in those cases. It did not happen with my Samsung Note 10 Plus (an excellent device) and does not happen with my iPhone 15.

I hope Samsung will soon release a patch that correct this shaming bug.

Basically I start navigation to any location, a few seconds after the destination is pinged and the route calculated, I get the google voice message "GPS signal lost" from here I get 1 of 2 outcomes. 1. The searching for GPS message apears beneath my last known location the dot is grey instead of the usual blue, GPS is never found and navigation is useless - it never finds GPS so never updates. 2. Same as above but GPS reconnects after a few minutes then a few seconds later GPS disconnects and the loop begins until scenario 1.

I can restart the app, restart the phone, or reinstall the app (or a combination of these) all of which will 'fix' the issue for maybe 30 minutes of navigation at best until we return to scenario 1 or 2.

I have had scenario 2 occur but when the GPS is found it pings me in the wrong place and can't fix its self so it no longer searches for the GPS but stays stationary while I am moving along a different road. On motorway trips I can glance down at my phone and get the right exit etc. But in unfamiliar towns where turns are frequent this is useless
