Has anyone else had an issue with their S22 Ultra restarting when you open the camera? It's done it to me a few times now.

  • What worked for me was Repair Apps on bootup.

  •   Everytime I would flip the camera to do a selfie the camera would fail.  I powered down phone.  Held the up button powering on and let go when you see a list.  Scroll down to repair apps.   That worked for me.

A short term fix was clearing cache and data. But as soon as I went to take another selfie the camera would fail.

Now I can take selfies again and things seem to be working.

Hope this helps.

Go into Recovery mode. Press and hold down the Volume Down button and keep holding it, then press and hold the Power button as well for a few seconds, and let go when you see the Android mascot on its back on screen.

Go into “Recovery Mode” as we guide you at the start. Find “Repair Apps,” which is usually located at the end of the list. Press the power button to select “Repair Apps,” and unlike the first process where you don’t have the option to confirm or deny with a Yes or No. After choosing this, the phone will reboot, and once it's back on, you will see “Optimizing apps” and the number of apps that your phone has show on the screen (depending on the version of your software). Once the whole process is over, you can start putting your PIN into the phone and start using it just like nothing happened "hopefully"

No, not for me.
I can't say that I've used it intensely, but so far it's been a smooth experience.

It's done it a few times for me; I've opened the camera and after a couple of shots, or trying to zoom my phone has restarted.

If you go to the Get Help section there are diagnostics you can run.
Make sure you submit an error report within 15 minutes of the problem.

Pull down the notification bar from the top of the screen and you'll see the off button there.

Yes and that doesn't work either!!!, I think I tracked it back to a qr scanner by going into safe mode and stopping apps, by accident I found it to be a qr scanner that was installed.

Hi Man,

I have a similar issue. When I change the resolution in the video to UHD60 with stabilization  I have freeze and reboot the phone. This is only under UHD60 and 8k. I also checked UDH30 with stabilization and it's ok

Also checked UHD60 without stabilization and also it's ok.
