S22 Ultra 108MP detail enhancer broken

Hi,

Starting with SW version S908BXXU2AVH9 photos taken in 108MP mode with detail enhancer show strange effects. SW version S908BXXU2AVG6 was fine.

There is strong vertical vignetting at the edges of the image and a vertical brighter area at the middle of the right half. 12MP images and 108MP without detail enhancer does not produce the issue.

Does anyone else experience this?

The only thing I can see is slight barrel distortion like it is not applying lens correction properly therefore it appears the edges of the image with detail enhance, are slight warping.

Download both images and switch back and forth. You will see that the right side of the 108MP image is much darker (the whole image is darker, but that is fine) and there is a bright area on the right side before it gets dark. Here marked: https://freeimage.host/i/Qib30u

On my s21 ultra scene detection which basically is detail enhancer isn't great. Inaccurate colours, banding and over processing . So I don't use that mode.

Unfortunately OneUI5 still has the issue.

Please report it to Samsung via the camera app error report (support tab, scroll down and in send feedback, select error report). Hopefully if the receive the same issue several times, they will fix it.

Hi,
After endless discussion with support, I tried factory reset and flashing with Odin - the issue remains. So I moved back to an older SW version which works (S908BXXU2AVG6).

Therefore, I cannot try the November update (S908BXXU2BVKB) - does it solve the issue?
