Hi, I'm experiencing an issue with WiFi on S22 . When the phone is idle and connected to WiFi it can't switch to "deep sleep" mode and battery drains much faster then when on 4G.
Is this a known bug ? Does Samsung is working on a fix ? I need to keep the WiFi turned off currently to reduce the idle battery drain, which is pretty annoying. According to multiple threads on Reddit and other sources online I'm not the only one with this issue

Nice one, thanks.

Situation is much better, but still not perfect to me. Today after 10hrs battery went -22%, 8hrs of sleep took 10% (s21 usually took 4-6%), 2hrs of use in day (not a whole hour SoT) took 12% which I find quite a lot for just reading some emails. Current situation seems to be, that my phone is finnaly usable, but I see lot of space for further improvements.

So I did the same thing, leaving the phone overnight from 00:00 to 07:00 with WiFi on after the update. Before the update, my battery drained is 17%, last night it only drained for 5%, we see improvement already here.
5% overnight is good already, but I think we could see better battery life improvement in the future.

I'm also experiencing significantly better battery life after the update. I wouldn't say it's ideal especially when it comes to SOT but idle drain is reasonable.
I still don't think I could get more than 4 h SOT of texting and Chrome but at least the phone seems to last the whole day with 2 h SOT.

Very dissapointing as think it should be able to top 4 hours SOT.
Hopefully that gets better.

My battery life after the last update also improved. But it sill isn't as good as my s10e that i own sinds launch.
I got 33 hours of use from 100% to 0% with 4:45 hours of SOT.
See my screenshot for the battery graph.
Edit: it seems i cant attach the screenshot 😞

So i managed to make my overnight drain to 1-2% per night, other than battery optimization, the biggest drainer is the google one backup.. By turning that off from account and backup i got nice overnight drain. I can live without device backup anyway so a good trade imo

I'd say that's a fairly good battery life. I did some more testing and for me 4 h SOT with 15 h off screen is the best I can get.
Idle drain has improved significantly definitely.
