Last night I took my S22 Exynos out of charging before I went to sleep. I woke up in the morning to find 40% of my battery DRAINED.

I'm really frustrated with this S22 as idle battery drain in general with screen off according to Accubattery is 5% PER HOUR. My S22 does not enter deep sleep overnight or during the day.

I opened ADB and looked and noticed a LOT of screen wakeups when I was sleeping and the phone was not charging.

It appears the phone keeps thinking it is plugged in when it is clearly not. I wonder if this stops the phone from going into deepsleep?

I have my brightness set manually (20%) and noticed that the wakelock for screen_brightness is running.

Please help. I am truly at my wits end with this phone. Battery drain is insane.

Hi, Have you tried enabling the bedtime mode?

Uninstall Accubattery and perform the same test and use device care to monitor the battery usage...

Don't leave on when asleep if your worried about having battery drain. Most apps run in the back ground when still idel.

Doesn't that just mute notifications and calls?

Hi, @BatteryVamp. That's not what we'd expect to see, so there are a variety of things you can try. Clearly, some app (or collection of apps) or process is causing your S22 to wake up excessively (even when it's not in use).

The first step would be to pop your S22 in to Safe Mode. This will disable any third-party applications, so that you can determine whether these are causing the issue.

To do this, press and hold the Power button until you see Power off, Restart and Emergency > Press and Hold the Power Off icon until it shows a Shield > Tap the Shield. After this, the S22 will start in Safe Mode.

If the trouble is fixed whilst in Safe Mode, then it suggests that this is being caused by a third-party app. To resolve this, please exit Safe Mode, then begin uninstalling apps you've downloaded one by one (restarting the phone between each app uninstallation) until the issue fixes itself. Once you've identified the troublesome app (or apps), you can reinstall the other apps via the Galaxy/Google Play Store.

Additionally, you can also set up a Bixby Routine whereby your S22 can go into Airplane/Flight Mode each night for a designated period of time. You can find out more about setting up these routines via the link below:

https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-use-bixby-routines/

Please let us know when you eliminate the cause of the battery drain.
