"Other" folder taking up 80gb of space and no longer accessible.

My storage is fast running out (94% used) and the main culprit is the "other" folder, taking up over 80gb of space.
I don't use much space for photos, media etc.
I could access this on my S20 and could clear out a lot of temp files etc but with my S22 ultra, I can't get access.
I've tried various file manager apps but nothing seems to help.

Anyone else have this issue or know a solution?

Thanks.

A good route to deleting old files is >

Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.

If you search the forum or google search there is information on what can be done.

Ok @Yodaisdead

If the links I've added don't particularly help then have a search as suggested.

However be mindful that deleting data from the Other Folder needs to be carried out with care as not to lose data you want to retain.

I wish you all the best.  :smiling-face:

I use Google Files to keep my Android devices in check. It can safely clear the 'other'

Use the clean function, not the file browser bit. It will delete old cache from apps
