I received my Galaxy S22 Ultra 512GB, Exynos version, over a week before official release date. As I was using the phone I discovered several bugs with my unit, screen blackouts, occasionaly freezes, conversations loosing sound, phon not reachable over GSM network even if my signals was good. I decided to wait until official release date to see if new software would be released. On the 25th Samsung released new firmware for my phone, and I did a complet factory reset after new firmware was installed. I am now on firmware S908BXXU1AVBF and fresh phone setup.

My screen problems seems to be gone, but GSM network issues are still there. Several times I have been made aware of that my phone can not be reached by callers, even if phone is showing signals. Solution, reboot. Turning on and off flightmode did not help. Also I am experiencing sound dropouts during calls, call is not droped but sound oth ways are lost, duration 10 - 15 seconds. Also when making a call the phone uses much longer time to set up the call than other phones I have had. Calling my self from other phones give simular results, setting up phone calles to my Galaxy S22 Ultra take much longer then calling others.

Have been in contact with Samsung support, but there is no help to get there. Try this, try that, over and over again. I am starting to loose my patients now, and its impossible for me to have a phone I dont know if I can be reached at, and when I manage to set up a call, sound is lost several times during the call.

I watched this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kds8-tWASqU) and tried resetting the network settings. Now it's been an hour and no problems. Now I am getting a full signal strength. Also uninstalled and updated the google carrier services in the play store (I don't know does that make any changes)
Please try everything in the video other than sim ejection and hard reset.
Like this, if it works for you.

Responding to the idea of switching off and on for 10 minutes to fix signal issues.

Hmm - I hear you and a) I tried it - it makes positively zero difference, b) it's a bit like saying that you can cure cancer by going to sleep and waking up AS LONG AS the sleep is longer than 8 hours..

Bars are representation of signal strength. Relatively unified representation of that across manufacturers - tested with Network Cell Info. Yes they make me happy as long as there is 3+ of them. Coincidentally that also makes my internet speed happy.

Sarcasm mode OFF.

S22 line suffers from two issues: 1) low 4G signal strength (bars *and* dBE), 2) intermittently losing signal. None of that has to do with which BTS you're connected to.

I spose having a phone since 1993 (of course not the same one) I'm still quite old school in my approach to issues.

Often the reason there's a signal issue... Bad SIM card, wrong type (not 4g or only 3g, or just plain old f.ked), loose SIM, wrong settings.... Either SIM or phone.

Did you come from IPhone to Samsung? As an iPhone SIM n plan won't like an android handset... Unless that's changed.

Phone settings or SIM settings.

Sometimes, removing and checking the SIM, cleaning, reinserting, and restarting... CAN help

I do t want to be that person who just say.... Reset whole phone, as that's a EVERYTHING GONE TTS UP solve.

Your Phone from 1993 is not a defective Samsung S22 Ultra. It seams you do not understand the problem(s). And your Phone from 1993 can one thing, some S22U cant: To make a simple call.

Note9, unihertz jelly pro, Nokia 6300, xCover4, xCover5, Galaxy Tab Active3, S23 Ultra 0,5 TB
