I received my Galaxy S22 Ultra 512GB, Exynos version, over a week before official release date. As I was using the phone I discovered several bugs with my unit, screen blackouts, occasionaly freezes, conversations loosing sound, phon not reachable over GSM network even if my signals was good. I decided to wait until official release date to see if new software would be released. On the 25th Samsung released new firmware for my phone, and I did a complet factory reset after new firmware was installed. I am now on firmware S908BXXU1AVBF and fresh phone setup.

My screen problems seems to be gone, but GSM network issues are still there. Several times I have been made aware of that my phone can not be reached by callers, even if phone is showing signals. Solution, reboot. Turning on and off flightmode did not help. Also I am experiencing sound dropouts during calls, call is not droped but sound oth ways are lost, duration 10 - 15 seconds. Also when making a call the phone uses much longer time to set up the call than other phones I have had. Calling my self from other phones give simular results, setting up phone calles to my Galaxy S22 Ultra take much longer then calling others.

Have been in contact with Samsung support, but there is no help to get there. Try this, try that, over and over again. I am starting to loose my patients now, and its impossible for me to have a phone I dont know if I can be reached at, and when I manage to set up a call, sound is lost several times during the call.

Now I tried to send it back for exchange to O2 Germany. But they wont exchange it, but they will try to repair.

I guess what will happen: They make a call, the call is working, and I will get it defective back.

At the end without a lawyer I will never get a working S22U. Thank you Samsung, thank you 02 germany.

Don't you have had a cooling off period where you can return penalty free? Or did you not bother returning it during such period?

My advice comes from being a UK Samsung iPhone user.

Current Devices:
  • iPhone 14 Pro 256GB Deep Purple
  • Samsung Galaxy Buds+ > Model: SM-R175.

2 month of nightmare usage!!!

I'm from Portugal using it anywhere on the move is impossible, looses mobile network, where any other simple phone has mobile network. What good is a smart-phone without network / internet?

Also wifi range is incredibly poor , i have no connection where i can get 20Mb with other phones. Only near the Router it is fast.

I have it for 2 month and the error I detected bevor 3 weeks and waiting and waiting for an update to solve this issue. O2 Germany said,  within the first two weeks they would have it exchanged...

Welcome to the club 🤐

Exchange it, if you can - or wait until 202x for an Update.

Maybe Samsung has forgotten the antenna  🙈

I have very bad network signal at home, so i wasn't fully aware it could be this bad.

Same problem here. My temporary solution to make the phone useful was to disable SIM2. Since that my phone doesn't lose signal and data. If I activate SIM1 y 2 at the same time I have problems.

Hi @hurkoa - I am also in Spain and have a S22 Ultra. What did the Samsung repair centre say?

I just picked up the phone from the official samsung repair service.
They have updated the phone and factory reset, that's all.
They have not repaired anything because they have told me that the phone has passed the official Samsung tests.
Judge for yourself.
