Phone not staying connected to USB port in Jeep Renegade

I really hope I can get some help since so far no one has found how to fix my issue. 

I have a Samsung S22 ultra. This weekend I tried to connect it using the USB cord to my 2019 Jeep Renegade USB port. It has worked before and I can charge my phone using the USB port and use Android Auto. Now it starts charging and stops a few seconds after connecting. Also the android auto icon shows on the screen and disappeared too.

I have tried multiple cords, uninstalled the uconnect app and android auto app. I try other phones and they will connect fine and stay connected with no disconnect. Only my Samsung S22 won't stay connected.

It charges fine with the same USB cord plugged into an outlet, just won't stay connected to the Jeep USB outlet. I have tried both too.

The dealership told me to contact my service provider who told me to contact Samsung who then gave me a number to a local place not even open anymore. I just need someone to help me with what else it can be. I am so frustrated that no one has helped.

I have the exact same issue but with the A14. Have you managed to work out how to fix it yet?

I had similar issues. But, I now have none. One thing I did was to get rid of the cords. Constantly Plugging and unplugging can also mess up the pins on the phone itself. Constantly searching for a good cord was a headache. I went with a wireless toggle and it connects automatically when I start my car. There are also many different solutions online for connection issues. They range from clearing the cache, uninstalling and reinstalling AA, installing an earlier version, etc. I have my wireless toggle installed directly to the USB of my aftermarket radio in my Wrangler, so it is never moved, unplugged or touched. I have a S22 Ultra and I use AA, and I have no real connection issues. Very rarely, it will crash, but I just force close it, by closing the background running program, by pressing the three lines, and closing the background running AA. It will then restart on its own. I haven't had to do that in at least two months. Rocket Player started locking up on me, so I switched to Musicolet, and it works fine. So, it could be a problem App, and not necessarily AA that is causing the problem. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Hello, I did finally purchased one of the wireless adapters and it works so incredibly well! It is so nice to have it connect instantly when I get in my car. Love it. I still need a cord to charge my phone but that isn't a problem. Still not sure why I could no longer use the USB to plug in my phone but this option is well worth the cost of the adapter. Thankfully I found this solution before exchanging my phone for a used one with my cellphone company. Thank you for your reply to my post.

Glad it helped. There are also options for wireless charging in your car too. So, you can completely get rid of all wires to your phone. They cost less than the wireless toggle, and the one I have works through my Unicorn Beetle Pro case. It is great at work, very safe, secure and out of the way. Even my car mechanic got one. Everyone likes that case. It comes in lots of colors too. I got a cup holder charger. It has a sensor on the side that opens and closes the holder, and it opens when you turn off the vehicle. Try Amazon search "Wireless car charging cup holder Samsung S22 Ultra". I got the Lopnord one. I just open my door, set it and forget it. It starts charging and connects automatically, once I set it in the holder. I routed the wire for it under my console, and it plugs in behind my dash, so there are no visible wires to interfere with driving. If you are handy with car electrical, you could also install a locking cigarette lighter adapter behind your stock lighter and plug in a USB port that locks, if you don't have USB ports from your car stereo. I did that before I got my new car stereo that has two USB wires. This way you have no wires running over your console. ✌️
