Have you bought device second hand or from reputable seller?
You can try few things like safe mode to see if there's 3rd party apps who is conflict with secure folder :
https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-to-start-my-galaxy-device-in-safe-mode/?srslti...
Try wipe cache partition:
Turn off phone, plug into PC, tv etc via USB Then press and hold power and volume up button until samsung logo appears Then quickly release power button and keep holding volume up button until reboot menu appears then navigate with volume down button till wipe cache partition press power button Restart your phone.
Another question is did you enabled developer options or you "modified" your device by any chance? As that could result in such error and trigger KNOX.
Clear apps data and cache:
Settings > apps > search for secure folder > storage > clear data and cache
If anything fails try to back up your data and try do factory reset.

Hello @Mexie
May I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum Section for Uk and Eu Members 👋
I would suggest to go back to the merchant and ask for a replacement to a phone that was released to be used in your own region.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎
Daily Driver > Samsung Galaxy s²⁵ Ultra 512Gb ~ Titanium Black.
The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

@Mexie: Further to the above, please head to Settings > About phone > Status information > Phone status. Does it say 'Official'? If not then your device has unauthorised third party software installed on it, and this is why you're seeing the above error message when attempting to set up the Secure Folder.

nowadays many banking apps are not allowing for dual apps.
I have installed app on normal device and try to add dual app on secure folder then app show message that secondary app detected on device and not letting you to run the application.
so no point of keeping secure folder for dual app......

Hello @AndrewL @
I'm experiencing the same issue when trying to set up the Secure Folder on my Galaxy S23+.
I've already tried the following troubleshooting steps:
- Booted into Safe Mode to check for conflicting third-party apps.
- Wiped the cache partition.
- Cleared data and cache for the Secure Folder app.
- Ensured that Developer Options are disabled.
- Checked Settings > About phone > Status information, and it shows the Phone status as "Official".
Despite all this, the error still appears and I can't install Secure Folder. I did not root or modify my device, and it was purchased from a reputable seller.
Can I solve this issue while having an "Official" phone status? Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
