Galaxy Setup Wi-Fi loop

Hi All,

I am having an issue with my new Galaxy S22. I keep getting a notification to say "Lee's S22 setup in progress, Tap to finish setting up". I then get taken to a screen where I need to choose a Wi-Fi network. I choose my home network, click next and then I get a screen saying "Getting your phone ready..." with spinning dots. After about 5 minutes I very briefly see a screen saying "Getting account ready" before I get taken back to the choose Wi-Fi network screen and the whole process starts again. The phone is setup and it is working, but it would be nice not to have this notification all the time. Does anyone have any ideas / solutions if you have experienced this before?

Thanks.

@Lee58 Try Resetting the Network Connections. General Management-Reset -Reset Wifi and Bluetooth Settings. If still issues Go to Connections-Wifi. Tap the cog for your Network and turn of Auto Connect temporarily to see if that sorts it.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Thank you for your response. I have checked this and all of my apps including the OS are up to date.

Thanks JAMES4578. I have tried what you suggested. I got a little further. The Getting phone ready screen now has the text "This may take a few minutes. Some device information that's needed for setup will be sent to Google, your carrier and their partners" before it reverts back to the choose Wi-Fi page.

If this issue keeps occurring, reset the play store app & try again. One other thing to try, is sign all google accounts out on the device (if more than one). Leave it 5 mins & sign account back in.

Thanks Galaxy-2025. Unfortunately that hasn't helped either. One thing that is happening however is I am getting a message now saying that Search Engine Selector keeps stopping. Would this be anything it needs to search the web for the updates? Like I said yesterday though, all of my apps are up to date.

Maybe you could try resetting the google app itself or reinstall it from the factory version. Same goes for google chrome & select chrome as the default browser after you reset it.
