Care to provide any of these vids? You're able to post them in here. With how android resets work, that's only possible if something goes terribly wrong and multiple systems fail.

Again, the storage of android is encrypted, the key is wiped on reset. No data can be recovered

Android device encryption is forced on and cannot be disabled since android 10. Every android 10 and newer device is encrypted and that encryption cannot be disabled. So you are correct for phones running android 9 and below. Android 15 is a month away, android 14 is current... So no phone with current software support will be unencrypted.

By default, sd cards put into phones aren't encrypted. So you have something there. But S series Samsung phones can't take sd cards so that doesn't help here

Oh and I should add. Samsung knox actually adds and extra layer of encryption. So modern Samsung S series phones kinda have 2 layers of encryption. One from android and one from Samsung. Though that's hidden deep in knox documentation

A friend of mine had her A52 reset by itself last summer. It was still under warranty and her mobile operator handed it over to her for repair, i.e. she requested data recovery because she realized too late that she didn't have a backup. Her mobile phone was returned to her after a month and a half, with all the pictures she had before the reset.

To reset your phone via settings you need to put in your Google account password and also your Samsung account password. If done correctly then you won't get the FRP check when the phone restarts. It's actually best to sign out of both accounts on the phone before resetting it if you're going to sell it. The only way to get into the phone is to ask for the last person's Google account password. Or taking it back to them to get them to sign in and reset it correctly. FRP is there to stop people being able to steal a phone and then get into the person's data and accounts.
