Following a recent update around the beginning of the month my SSung started playing up. At first it would take a couple of attempts to open the screen by either tapping it or the lock button. Then after a few days the screen wouldn't even come on but I could still feel the haptic from the home button, back button and apps etc. But now it's started to not light up at all even after not using it for a while and just hard resets itself.

I soft reset it, cleared the cache, tried it in safe mode and even factory reset it and started from fresh downloading apps one by one rather than restoring data. It then worked for a couple of days then I guess the update didn't automatically install at first because I woke up the next day to my phone saying it had updated itself then it started all over again with the rebooting.

Hello 👋 @Morningstar982

May I suggest to perform a forum search as you will find already existing threads with help and advice within in regards to this known bootloop issue.

Speak directly with Samsung Customer services or set up for the phone to be looked at via a Samsung Service Centre is the best option.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Hi! Welcome to the Samsung Members community!
I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this.

You appear to have covered the basics of what the community can suggest.

I would contact Samsung support/repair, as it could be a bigger problem.

Maybe try running a diagnostic—Samsung Members—diagnostics.

Maybe try booting into the recovery menu and clearing the cache partition (seeing as it appears to be after an update).

Plug into a PC, laptop, or USB-C headset. 1. Turn off the device by holding down the power button. 2. Press and hold the power button and volume buttons to enter recovery mode. 3. Use the volume buttons to navigate to Factory Reset or Wipe Data/Factory Reset. 4. Press the power button to select Factory Reset or Wipe Data/Factory Reset. 5. Confirm the selection.

As you mentioned, however, a factory reset didn't help, which leads me to believe it's a bigger problem. I would advise contacting Samsung support.

Hi there and warm welcome 👋

I do apologise for issue caused..

Unfortunately it's common known issue.

Best to seek professional and authorised repairs shop, as it might be motherboard issue.

I silly idea 💡 but what protective case do you use on your device? Could it be that the " keys " on the side of your device are being pressed by an ill fitted / moulded case ? I found this out on my Tab S9 and it was bugging me for ages and after several hard and soft resets and " remote support " it was realised when a technician asked me to remove any and all cases and screen protectors and bingo..... sorted ! I felt such a prat for waisting so many people's time and efforts but looking back i can laugh about it now .... just a thought. Good Luck 👍
