Forgot my Galaxy S22 password (I've always used fingerprint)

Hello all,

So basically today out of nowhere my phone instead of asking for the usual fingerprint, it asked for the password that I've never used and probably had set up when I've bought it. I have no idea what is my phone's password and I've tried plenty of possibilities.

I've tried using my old Galaxy S9 to try to unblock the S22 but haven't been successful (I have all my devices registered in my Samsung account).

What can I do to unlock my phone? I don't want to lose everything I have on my phone!

Thank you!

Thank you very much for the help!

I will also try to go to a Samsung store today to see if they can help me!

It did not work unfortunately. After using the pin, I still need to use the phone password.

Yes unfortunately the option to unlock devices has been removed from Samsung's application, an alternative is Google's Find My Device but that would involve a Factory Reset.  https://support.google.com/android/answer/

if the store is unable to assist can arrange for an engineer to inspect it via  Samsung's portal https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/contact/

I guess I will have to factory reset it since the store was not able to assist. They told me that I probably created a password without being aware when installing a new app on the phone recently. I'm not sure if did honestly.

I'm not from the UK, thanks though!
