Facetag button???

I was wondering if anyone knew if I was missing something. I want to face tag a friend from a photo that was sent to me, however the phone only seems to recognise faces that were taken by the in built camera itself. I was wondering if there might be a button somewhere that I missing that allowed me to manually facetag a friend's face instead. If not, I'm missing alot of photos when I search that the phone doesn't look for.

Try locating the photo in your gallery app and then swiping up on the photo to see if that helps.
