Two days ago my s22 was on the August patch and it was running so so smooth.. my phone may even have been at its peak back then.
I've been ignoring security updates for months and yesterday, I thought '**** it' and updated to November patch.. boy did it mess up my phone. It wouldn't even install the update without bootlooping and sometimes booting into recovery mode. I had to manually reset from recovery mode and only when I put it in the fridge did it actually update (god knows why it needed to be in the fridge to update).
You'd think that was the end of it.. right? Well you'd be wrong. Because it was stuck bootlooping for 2 hours more until I read somewhere that sticking it in the freezer for 15-20 minutes would fix it. Lo and behold it actually did fix it, only for an hour though before it restarted itself and went back into bootlooping again.
At this point my frustration was at it's highest and I left it in the freezer for 30 minutes. This time it bootlooped once or twice and the third time it stayed on. I let it sit by itself the entire night and I don't think it turned off once. It's been working fine since I woke up, not bootlooped or anything. I don't know what fixed it but I've backed everything up.
I don't think I'm ever restarting this phone again, let alone updating it. I got this phone 3 months ago coming from an iPhone and it's been amazing until two days ago. I'm thinking of switching back honestly. Apple may be boring and everything but ive never had this issue when i used an iphone. This phone has kept me on the edge now.

Hi @GMA and may I extend a Warm Welcome to the Samsung Community Forum 👋
Apparently the freezer technique takes the motherboard to below a certain temperature that helps 🤔 That's my personal opinion.
Software updates are important however the security patches that come with them are vital.
I appreciate your hesitant to update again.
If you perform a forum search you will find existing threads with some further help or guidence within as some others have faced a bootloop after updating.
You can try > Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }
Going from this I'd suggest to send feedback directly to Samsung via your Samsung Members App too so they can analyse this issue.
If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask 😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

I would contact Samsung support, yesterday, and let them deal with it. Hopefully under warranty
