Camera failed

Can someone tell me why my camera front and back stopped working and do I need new parts

it usually indicates a software issue with the camera app

Try restarting your phone,

checking for updates to the camera app and system software,
clearing the app cache, resetting the camera app settings, or even checking for potential conflicts with other apps by booting into safe mode

Tried all that still has the same issue but it's funny how it started after the last update

After an update? Okie try this

Plug into a pc/ laptop
1. Turn off the device
2. Press and hold the Volume Up and Side keys simultaneously
3. Release the keys when the Android logo appears
4. Use the Volume keys to navigate to Wipe cache partition
5. Press the Side key to select Wipe cache partition
6. Confirm your selection with the Power button
7. Select Yes and confirm again
8. Select Reboot system now and confirm
9. Wait for the device to restart

I've factory reset my s22 5g so would that solve the issue

That may help. But I would suggest just clearing cache first before making a drastic move
