So my Samsung ultra 22 keeps disconnecting from android auto. I've tried resetting android auto app and updating, renew usb c for a fast transfer one. Updated car screen to new firmware, purchased a wiress android auto dongle, cleared cache, restarted phone, tried another ultra 22. Yet it still keeps disconnecting. Any ideas apart from getting an iPhone. 👍

It might be issues with your Bluetooth. Try "forgetting" your car's head unit and Wireless AA dongle - do it away from your car, so that it doesn't retry to connect. Next, go into the car's head unit, and delete your phone. Once you've done both, clear the data and cache from the Android Auto app (from the phone settings menu), then try re-pairing the phone and the head unit once you've followed these steps. Hopefully, it should now connect, and stay connected.

Android Auto problems are almost always due to the junk multimedia systems in a lot of cars. Volkswagon Audi Group units are particularly terrible (VW, Skoda, Audi, Seat) all use the same rubbish systems, and they always crash and drop out.

Me and the wife had a car each, a 2017 Skoda and a 2019 Seat, and both had terrible Android Auto. Half tines it wouldn't connect, or it would work for an hour then freak out and never work again until the car was turned off for a number of hours. Heck, the Seat used to forget it had Bluetooth and Satnav about 20% of the time until I did a factory reset on the stereo.

How to fix? Sold the two cars and bought a Hyundai. The entertainment system just works in that, and Android Auto works first time every time, zero issues.

Cheers ChasUFC! Visibility of embedded hyperlinks are a hit-or-miss affair on the app version of the Community - and I think Lonewolf2020 was using that. I've edited DannyT's post to include the actual URL which should work for everyone.
