Overheating on Video calls

Hello,

I am using S22 ultra which is great. However, I having trouble during video calls especially during whatsapp video calls as phone heats up a lot. It overheats so much that I think its going to burst. 

My friend has the same phone but his phone overheats only during 4k videos.

Does this issue has happend to anyone here?

Wenn du dein Gerät intensiv nutzt (vielleicht neben den Video-Calls noch viele Anwendungen im Hintergrund offen hast) und vielleicht sogar parallel noch auflädst, dann ist eine gewisse Wärmeentwicklung keineswegs ungewöhnlich.

Es passiert nicht jedem, auch wenn ihr genau dasselbe Gerät verwendet.
Du solltest dir nicht zu viele Sorgen machen. Alle S22 Ultra sind mit hoch entwickelten Steuerungsmechanismen ausgestattet, zu denen natürlich auch das Temperaturmanagement gehört. Es ist wirklich schwer zu sagen, was dazu führt, dass ein Gerät wärmer als gewöhnlich wird. In den meisten Fällen ist dies normal, wenn man das Gerät benutzt, insbesondere draußen im Sommer während der Aufnahme von Videos. Manchmal ist es eine App, die sich seltsam verhält. Manchmal handelt es sich um einen Softwarefehler, der mit den nächsten Updates behoben wird. Jedes Mal, wenn mir das passiert, schließeiche ich alle offene Apps und lasse das Gerät einige Minuten in Ruhe auf einer kühlen Oberfläche liegen, bis es wieder abgekühlt ist. Wenn das nicht funktioniert, hilft manchmal ein Neustart. Wie gesagt, es ist wirklich kein großes Problem aber wenn es dir zu sehr stört, wende dich natürlich an das Samsung-Support-Team.

you've already gotten some good advice here, but to clarify: generally, a certain amount of tangible warmth or heat is not unusual during use of the device, especially when you are charging it at the same time. However, no external heat should be noticeable when your smartphone is on standby and not charging. If your Galaxy S22 Ultra gets uncomfortably warm even in normal use, I recommend having it checked. In that case, please contact the support at 06196 77 555 77 (Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 8 pm). They will discuss all further steps with you.

If you're from Austria, please contact their Samsung service. In Switzerland please contact the swiss customer support. 

Additionally, if you notice that your device warms up only while using a certain app, like WhatsApp, you may also try clearing the app's cache or reinstalling it. I definitely recommend checking that both your device and the app are up to date.
