Taking pictures in RAW format on the S21

Hi,

Quick question (and no clear answer to be found at this moment). The S21 Ultra will be able to take pictures in RAW format, but is this also the case with the standard S21 and/or the S21+?

Hey there JGoose!

I believe that all of the S21 series will be able to take RAW photos when using the phone in Pro mode 🙂. This also works on the S20 series.

Apparently, it's only supported in the ultra. I just checked via the chat on the Samsung website ...

Ability to take RAW photos  does just  seem to be just on S21 Ultra as Samsung staff have verified,  see camera capability in  the S21 Range here https://www.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s21-cameras/ 

This aricle  maybe a bit on the negative side but obviously  some features lost for more attractive  pricing structure. Not everyone wishes to use WQHD+ Resolution though.   https://www.wired.co.uk/article/samsung-galaxy-s21-downgrades-upgrades

I have just checked and S21 can save now a copy of photo in a RAW format (PRO mode).
