Stuck on 120htz - Solved

Hi 

So I thought I would just check my refresh rate under developer settings and noticed that I am almost permanently stuck on 120htz refresh rate.

It just stays there at 120htz and doesn't change to 60 htz even when I am not touching the screen.

Can anyone try this please .

I have adaptive refresh rate enabled and am on One Ui 5.1 in the UK. Exynos.

Ah Nevamind .

Found the Answer in an older post.


s21 ultra screen adaptive refresh wont work unless you increase the brightness
above maybe 20% if you dont like the higher brightness specially in night
just go to accessibility and toggle extra dim and move the slider to max
and thats it the phone brightness will be above 20% and that will activate the adaptive refresh rate and the extra dim feature will make it look like you didnt raise the brightness

Interesting it happens with light mode as well. Ones the brightness goes below 20% it will be stuck at 120htz
