Spotify Controls Missing on Lock Screen

The Spotify controls are missing on my lock screen and I can't find how to get them to appear. The Music widget does not resolve this issue.

If none of the solutions worked here, I found that Lockstar, an app of GoodLock was the problem. You need to open lockstar from the GoodLock app, then add the music widget to lockstar manually then itll appear.
