Screen stopped working

On June 7 the screen stopped working. The phone itself works. With an incoming call, knowing where the "ANSWER" button is located, you can press and the call goes through, but nothing is visible on the screen.
Exactly the same problem occurred to my friend on the same day.
Has anyone encountered such a problem?

Technology can fail for various reasons @grom197711 

I'd suggest to visit a Samsung Experience Store or Samsung Service Centre and they'll assess your phone.
