SAMSUNG S21 ULTRA Suddenly won't play in car

Nothing has changed with phone or car as far as I know. 

Suddenly today Spotify and Apple Music will not play in the car.

It links up to Bluetooth fine. But you press play and nothing happens. 

I've reinstalled apps, restarted phone, unpaired and paired up again, made sure the apps play in the background and nothing. 

It plays fine when not connected.

I've googled it but can't find a solution.

Can anyone help?

Have you changed the settings in these apps to play in High Quality (AIFF, MQA, etc)? The best quality setting you'll get out of Android Auto is FLAC. I think AIFF is Apple's own version of FLAC, but it can (i think) be set to mimic the almost equivalent of 24 bit/96 (and above) MHz. Try adjusting your playback settings to FLAC/MP3-192. Hopefully, that resolves your issue.

So I haven't ever set up Android Auto. It just connects to my car through Bluetooth. No settings have been changed at all. Just been in to AUTO and there are no settings with anything you put up there. I may just not know what I'm doing but I can't see it. Nor have I changed anything. I literally woke up this morning did everything the same as I have for months, and it just won't play. It plays on Bluetooth Speakers but not through the car. You press play and it does nothing. X
