Whe  are samsung going to sort out the battery issues? 

Since the update near chrsitmas my battery has been really rubbish! Egen when I pull it off charge it drops to 98% within 10 mins. 

For example today I am now on 51% after 10.5 hours. Generally not really using the phone much just some Internet browsing no video or YouTube. 3 hours screen on time.

Apps that refresh in the background consume power, these also get updates
Things like Facebook can be quite power hungry apps. Obviously email apps refresh regularly
You can go into battery and device care to see what is using your battery power.
If you are not using NFC or Bluetooth etc. Turning these off will help
I set my phone in dark setting as well.
Consider using the 1080p screen setting rather than the WQHD if you don't need that setting at the time

I'm not sure why after removing the phone off charge, the battery level drops like that. Been that way with all my Samsung phones for years
Perhaps apps are put to sleep to aid charging and to lower processing, lowering heat while charging.
Taking off charge maybe has them all background refreshing

Regularly restarting your phone will also help to clear out all the temporary data that gets stored.
