Samsung S21 5G Edges

Hi, I have just received my S21 5G today and notice that the edges are a bit rough and peeling. Is this just a protective film and is it OK to be removed? Many Thanks

There is a thin film all round the handset on the edges....it can be removed....there is a screen protector film on the front that is best left on

The phones come with protective film that covers not just the screen, but the metal frame as well.
The metal frame stuff I take off as it will peal anyway.
But usually leave the screen one on until I get a screen protector for it.
