Samsung cloud

So went to photos and was asked to join one drive as samsung cloud will go.

So I have downloaded my photos, it then asks to link to one drive, sign into one drive and then nothing.

Why is Samsung doing this, will I now have to go through one drive to get everything back when I upgrade.

Seems like a bad decision and a lot of messing about

Hi, I'm afraid so, you can still backup ever in your Google drive also.

So apple have Icloud which allows easy access and downloads, sync

We have now Google drive or one drive.
Samsung going backwards, will make it a lot harder when upgrading and going through all the photos to put back on your phone.

Also I have just done what Samsung say and cannot find on internal storage, any ideas where it is

I'm having the same issues. When I received the message about samsung cloud ending and to sync with one drive. I did this both times I received the message. I have lost pictures, however I have some? Any ideas why?

That's where your pics should be on device.

This is very poor from Samsung, nothing to do a basic transfer of photos.
I have just bought c drive USB storage and I will download directly onto that along with gdrive.

This is not good Samsung

I could never see apple getting rid of Icloud can you

My advice is back up in multiple places use Google photos for photos etc.
Google one will back your phone up like contacts messages etc very much like icloud does
