S21fe problems when phone rings

When my phone rings I get a very very short loud ring which then goes very quiet and keeps on ringing. If I pick it up all sound ceases, but if I move it about and change the angles at which it is held the sound comes back. Is there a solution to this please. The phone is 7 months old.

Hey @Tunshill. Please set your phone in Safe Mode and let me know if the issue persists. Hold the Power/ Bixby and Volume Down buttons together for a few seconds, long press on Power off and then tap on Safe Mode. If your phone is fine during this, it indicates a third party app is causing the issue.

Thank you for that.  The problem disappeared and when I took it out of safe mode it was still clear of the problem.

As an addition, after a while of checking it out after putting it in safe mode. The very very loud first ring has gone and the ringtone is at the level I set it as. However as soon as I pick the phone up it becomes very quiet. Is this design or is it a setting that I need to change, if so which setting might control it. Thank you.

Do you mean the call is quiet or the ringtone gets quiet once you pick up the phone?

The ring tone. I can cope with that but it would be good to know why.
