S21 ultra won't play wma files

Hi just up graded from an S10+ to a s21 ultra.  Down loaded all my music files from the sd cars to the Internet memory, but now my wma files will not play ..... has anyone got a fix for this .

Rename as .mp3, no need to convert.

Yea thats what I'm using but don't like it . Thought they mite be a fix for Samsung music for the ultra

It's an application limitation, not the phone itself. For some reason Samsung decided to omit wma file support in its latest music app.

It's highly unlikely if they chose to omit it in the first place. I wouldn't hold out hope for it. WMA is an increasingly less popular format to mp3 and now m4a (which is possibly the best format for quality/compression).

I just got a free wma music player from the Google store. Seems to work well.
