Galaxy S21 SeriesHi Everyone,
I bought an S21 Ultra today from a third party reseller.
However I am not getting any software updates.
Last security update was May 2021.
Checked the ROM and it says it is: BTU/BTU,BTU,EUX/ROM
Have seen other posts about removing sim cards / factory resets etc, which I have done to no avail.
Even emailed Samsung tech support, but they don't seem to want to help.
Any advice how I can get this sorted?
Many thanks

Galaxy S21 SeriesHello Ironass,
Info as requested:
Also had phone off over night, turned on with 4G running and no update.
Any advice on how to force it to update would be appreciated.
Many thanks.

Galaxy S21 SeriesI can see why Samsung are not interested.
Your screenshot shows that you are on an old Android 11 build from a year ago that was never released for the CSC code, (Country Specific Code), BTU, unbranded U.K.
Your Service provider software information shows that...
EUX = European generic code
ROM = Original Romanian stock Samsung CSC code
BTU = U.K. stock Samsung CSC code
It would appear that a 3rd party re-seller has purchased a job lot of Romanian phones, probably cheaply, and then re-flashed them with a generic firmware in the hope of selling them in another country. We have seen a lot of this on these forums and your best bet is to contact the seller that you bought it from since this altered phone will never receive an OTA, (Over The Air), update direct from Samsung.

Galaxy S21 SeriesThanks for your input.
I did complain to the reseller and they tried to offer me a replacement. When challenged on whether it would be a phone with UK firmware, they admitted that it was all "EU Stock."
So I asked for my money back.
Now I will try and source one from somewhere else, or possibly wait for the S22 ultra to come down in price..
